We are based in Bodenheim, a beautiful town in the middle of wine country, 12 km south of downtown Mainz on the edge of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Region. Our proximity to the airport and our central European location makes us open to the world.

The impact you will create at Vinokilo:

As Accountant, you will join our newly formed Office Management Team and will ultimately be responsible for the correct accounting of all business happenings at Vinokilo. At the end of every month this person ensures completion of receipts and accounting. One step at a time, you'll help to improve our processes and help build the biggest secondhand fashion company in the world. This may seem like a wild statement, but it's more realistic with you on board because: 

• You'll be responsible for booking all business transactions.
• You'll be controlling the completion of all receipts. 
• You'll be coordinating with the tax consultant for preparation of monthly financial statements. 
• You'll be the contact person for our tax consultant.
• You'll be controlling outbound invoices and payments. 
• You'll be maintaining and improving the bookkeeping systems/accounts used.
• You'll be maintaining the inventory and depreciation accounts. 
• You'll be maintaining the bank accounts and conducting transactions.
• You'll be ensuring the budget reflects expenses and transactions.
• You'll be informing about, providing and discussing the monthly reports with the CFO/CEO.

What we need you to have:

• Bachelor's degree/completed training in Business/Finance/Accounting or a related field.
• Work experience as an Accountant of minimum three years. 
• Experience with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Datev experience.
• Other ERP system experience.
• Solid understanding of the business context.
• Above-average commitment and team spirit.
• Joy in implementing and improving processes.
• Distinct service orientation and a high sense of responsibility.
• Willingness to become acquainted with new tasks and areas.
• Independent and thorough work ethic.
• Very good German language proficiency.
• IT proficiency.
