Who are we?

We are Vinokilo.

We are a growing team on a mission to make secondhand fashion more desirable than new, fast fashion. Why? Because we believe fashion should be stylish and sustainable.

We are based in Bodenheim, a beautiful town in the middle of wine country, 12 km south of downtown Mainz on the edge of the Frankfurt Rhine-Main Region. Our proximity to the airport and our central European location makes us open to the world. As an E-commerce Marketing Student, you will have the opportunity to directly impact our sales performances with data-driven decision making.

The impact you will have at Vinokilo:

Being our E-commerce Marketing Student would make you an integral part of the Vinokilo family. You would be able to develop the basic foundation of digital marketing, and make data-driven decisions. You will be responsible for creating strategies along with the E-commerce Sales & Marketing Manager and have a direct impact on sales performances. Your role will also include developing new strategies for email marketing, as well as social media marketing, where you will focus on Instagram and LinkedIn.

One step at a time, you'll help our mission to make secondhand fashion readily available and help build the biggest secondhand fashion company in the world. This may seem like a wild statement, but it's more realistic with you on board because:

  • You will be responsible for building growth strategies for the Vinokilo LinkedIn account
  • You will execute tests and schedule regular posts for LinkedIn to iterate brand awareness in a B2B aspect
  • You will build new and fine tune existing email marketing automations
  • You will track performances of both email marketing and LinkedIn strategies with KPIs
  • You will develop content direction and research exact information for a Vinokilo newsletter (email marketing)
  • You will be working closely with E-commerce Sales & Marketing Manager to alternate email marketing strategy according to sales goals and brand campaigns.
  • You will be involved in brand marketing campaigns’ brainstorming sessions with the social media team.

You’ll love this role because:

  • You’ll be playing a leading role in the fight against fast fashion.
  • You are passionate about sustainability and secondhand fashion.
  • Your work will be meaningful, challenging, and will have a tangible impact on the future of Vinokilo.
  • You value long term profitability and sustainability over short term gains.
  • There is plenty of room for growth, for the company and the role.
  • You enjoy taking responsibility and calculated risks.

What you need to have:

  • Education level: Bachelor students or above
  • No previous experience is required.
  • Fluency in both English (main) and German is needed
  • Familiarity in using Google Spreadsheets (not excel)
  • You should be
    • a fast-learner and data-driven
    • a team player
    • independent and problem-solving
    • keen to take on challenges
    • willing to take up risks & responsibilities
    • honest
    • open to and be positive about feedback from the team
    • willing to test and fail and test again with us!

NB: We know lots of people, especially women and other minorities, do not apply for roles unless they hit all the requirements listed in Job Descriptions— these are normally wish lists. We’ve tried to simplify this list into what we actually NEED you to have and what would be nice. Either way, if you feel this is your perfect role, we want to hear from you.
